What We Believe

At ComeAsk.org we are committed to grounding our beliefs in the teachings of Scripture.

We recognize the importance of unity in core doctrines while allowing for grace and understanding in secondary matters.

Below, we outline our stance on primary and secondary issues as guided by the Bible.

Primary Issues

  • The Authority of Scripture

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. It is our ultimate guide for understanding God’s will and purpose.

  • The Nature of God

We affirm the existence of one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully and equally God, sharing in the divine essence and working together in the creation and redemption of humanity.

  • The Deity of Christ

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death, bodily resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of the Father. He is the only way to salvation.

  • Salvation by Grace

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not based on human effort but on grace through the redemptive work of Christ.

  • The Resurrection and Eternal Life

We affirm the resurrection of all people—those who are in Christ to eternal life, and those who are apart from Christ to eternal separation from God. This truth shapes our hope and mission.

Secondary Issues

  • Baptism and Communion

We practice baptism as an outward sign of inward faith and recognize the Lord’s Supper as a means of grace. While we have specific practices, we respect differing interpretations and traditions within the Christian community.

  • Eschatology

We acknowledge a variety of views regarding the end times, including differing interpretations of the book of Revelation. We focus on the certainty of Christ’s return while encouraging respectful dialogue on the details.

  • Spiritual Gifts

We believe in the active presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, manifesting various spiritual gifts. We encourage the exercise of these gifts in love and service while respecting diverse beliefs about their application.

  • Worship Styles

We celebrate diverse expressions of worship that honor God and edify the church. While we have preferences, we recognize the value of different styles and cultural expressions in worship.

  • Social Issues

We strive to apply biblical principles to contemporary social issues, approaching each topic with grace and a commitment to truth. We seek to engage in meaningful dialogue while upholding our core beliefs.

In all things, we seek to embody love, grace, and truth.

We are committed to growing together in our faith and understanding, embracing both our unity in Christ and the diversity of His Body. Our desire is to create a welcoming community where all can explore their faith journey.
