Some of the last words that Jesus spoke while on the cross were, “It is finished.”  What was He saying?

The debt of the sin of the whole world has been paid in full by the sacrifice of God‘s own Son upon the cross. His blood and His life are enough to cleanse the world of their sins, as well as their failure to obey God’s laws of love that Moses revealed.

All one must do is believe in the love that God expressed toward mankind by the act of giving up His own son so that our personal sins and failures can be cleansed and forgiven. He will accept all of us into His family.

When John the Baptist introduced Jesus to the world, he said,

Behold! The Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29) ...this is he who baptizes you with the Holy Spirit. (John 1:33) "I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." (Luke 3:16)

In the Bible’s chapter 10 of Romans, verses 9 -13 it is written,

“…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, ‘Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.’ For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’”
